The Dancing Moose in Ashley Cross, Poole, is the first pub in this expanding chain.

Having undergone a recent refurbishment and with a focus on high-quality drinks and food – namely American Tapas Fusion – the Dancing Moose is a fun, vibrant and extremely popular pub.


The Clark Group invested in The Relaxed Pub Company No.2, the trading company of The Dancing Moose, in late 2015, with a view to expanding the Dancing brand to key market towns across the South West.

This proven format is expected to translate well to other key towns in the South West of England.

In the evenings, The Dancing Moose comes into its own – a buzzing bar and restaurant with an eclectic menu, superb draft and bottled beers, fine wines and cocktails.

The Dancing Moose opened its doors to the public on April 18th, 2014, under the ownership of James P Bronson following eight weeks of refurbishment that expanded the floor space into the shop next door. Since then, the Moose has seen rapid year-on-year growth, positioning it as the go-to venue in Ashley Cross for smart casual dining and late night refreshments.

Labelled a Gastro bar, the Moose offers freshly cooked breakfasts from 9am, lunch and a smart casual dining experience in the evening. It is a comfortable and fresh social space with a contemporary style that serves quality products and delivers a value for money experience. The Moose has managed to sustain its trade and customer loyalty in an ever-changing competitive market.

    Steve is a focused and committed professional, with extensive expertise gained in the hospitality sector. Commercially astute, with the ability to identify business opportunities and implement effective promotional & marketing activities.
    Over the past 12 years Steve have experienced working in events, film production, hospitality and a digital agency. Predominately based in Bournemouth Steve originally managed for Future 3000 plc, at Bliss bar a multi million pound style bar operation.
    Steve has also been an influential member of the team at Klute, an award winning bar and Funki sushi, the premium Sushi operation on the south coast inspired by Sushi samba.
    Steve has successfully opened several new venues such as wiggle, Viper Rooms, The Dancing Moose & The Dancing Duck.

    Charlie is an experienced, dedicated, and highly skilled chef.

    Embarking at the young age of 16, Charlie trained to be a chef for James Bronson at the Winchester pub. In his time there, his passion for cooking was ignited, and Charlie realized he had much to learn in skill and technique so he progressed to the Carlton Hotel in Bournemouth. Here, Charlie spent two years developing and honing his abilities, culminating in his winning of the Dorset Young Seafood Masterchef award.

    In 2010, Charlie set off with his strong culinary foundation and found a new home in renowned Chef Daniel Boulud’s Bar Boulud set in Knightsbridge. Mentored by Executive Chef Dean Yasharian, Charlie worked his way through the kitchen brigade until he became a trusted Junior Sous Chef. Eager to take on a new challenge, Charlie relocated to Toronto to work in Boulud’s D|Bar, taking charge in his role of Sous Chef.

    Now Charlie is returning to his roots, and looks forward to bringing his experience and fresh ideas to the Dancing Pub Company.
