Parvalux has significantly invested in new technology and developed the capability to design and manufacture gears in-house. A new Koepfer 200 gear hobbing machine, a CMZ TA20 twin spindle lathe and peripheral machinery have been installed at the Parvalux machine shop, forming a new cell that produces fully formed gears and worms from bar.
John Lodge, Production Engineering Manager, commented: “The recent machine purchases are incorporated into a larger investment scheme that has been progressing for over a year, increasing our internal capabilities, gaining a larger control over the quality and lead time of our machined production, especially the manufacture of gear sets and gear blanks. This expansion allows increased flexibility, improved efficiency, faster sample turnaround and greater quality control.”
