Clark Group

Founded in 1947 by Steve’s grandfather, L J Clark, Parvalux began by selling motor rewinds. Ten years later, the business had developed to designing and manufacturing complete gear-motor units for diverse industries, including motors for golf buggies and powered wheelchairs.

Parvalux products are manufactured in the UK at the company’s manufacturing facility in Bournemouth. The business’ key strength is permitting products to be completely customisable, providing flexibility that beats other competitors in the market. Steven invested and took control of the business in 2003 and, under his new management, Parvalux acquired EMD Drive Systems Ltd in 2007, a large UK manufacturer of DC permanent magnet electric geared motors. The acquisition doubled revenue of the pre-existing business. In 2018, Clark Group and family sold Parvalux to family owned Swiss motor group, Maxon.
