Founded in 2012, Connected Ventures is the parent company of two successful consumer-facing, online commerce products: Ingredo and Fresh8 Gaming.

Ingredo is an innovative grocery management platform that powers and provides the connection between grocery e-commerce platforms and publishers of food content. Intelligent technology links digital recipes and meal plans on any website into one-click purchasing at supermarkets. This platform makes it easier for consumers to purchase ingredients online and to make more informed decisions about the food they eat. Ingredo’s launch partner is the world’s largest online grocery company, Tesco.

Connected Ventures makes content shoppable by dynamically creating adverts, which increase sales for e-commerce providers and maximise revenues for online publishers.

Fresh8 Gaming is a new e-gaming business that connects sports gambling operators with mass audiences in digital spaces. A next generation advertising platform, Fresh8 Gaming dynamically matches sports content with live betting data and enables customers to place bets without having to navigate away from the publisher page. This enables operators to acquire and retain customers in their spaces as they consume everyday media. Fresh8 Gaming’s launch partners are Ladbrokes, SkyBet and Marca Apuestas, as well as publisher partners SkySports, The Football League, Marca.com and ITV.

Based in Clerkenwell, London, Connected Ventures provides these platforms to create personalised advertising for online retailers by matching their product, CRM data and geo location with third-party digital content. Andrew Sharland
    Co-Founder, Connected Ventures

Andrew Sharland is a skilled businessman with a keen interest in online platforms.

Working in business development at the American Sports Marketing agency, IMG, Andrew gained experience in evolving sports stadiums and arenas in order to establish naming and sponsorship rights for the company.

As Director at a small digital agency he successfully built the company into a UK Top 100 digital agency. He won prestigious clients such as Bauer Media and Channel 4 to name a few.
Through his business experience Andrew observed the trend that companies were increasingly finding their customers migrating from print to new media/online channels. As the Internet developed there became more opportunity for online advertising and Andrew spotted an opportunity. There was a progressive shift from static banner advertising that was seen as spam by the user and low investment for the company, to highly personalised dynamic content, which he believed could be highly capitalised on.

Andrew established Connected Ventures with his co-partner Peter Cowley in 2010, after recognising that online advertising revenues were low and that publishers were increasingly moving into ecommerce. Now with a team of 10, Connected Ventures provides connections between content and sales for online retailers. They create personalised adverts that provide utility through highly targeted campaigns that are relevant to the user and produce high revenue results.
